Create Polka Dot Pattern in Photoshop for Beginners

Hello guys, today I would share about Create Polka Dot Pattern in Photoshop Tutorial. I think you already know about this pattern, that is piled up small dots, but between a Small dots there is have distance. 

And this Polka dot pattern are so cute and beauty. Actually, you can download for free in the Internet, or Google Image. But, I think make this Polka Dot Pattern by self is more amazing. 

Polka Dot Pattern is a Pattern that is arranged by Circle. Usually people use this Pattern for Wallpaper, Background, and Fabric Motif.

Create Polka Dot Pattern in Photoshop for Beginners :

• STEP 1

The first step of Photoshop Polka Dot Brush is, Open your Adobe Photoshop Software, then make the New Worksheet or New Document by pressing Ctrl + N.

After that, you need to set the Worksheet size, set 400 x 400 pixels , with Resolution 300 DPI.

FYI : To make a Pattern, you need to set a Worksheet size with equal size. That is because to make easy repetition of shapes.

The second step of How to make a dot Grid in illustrator Tutorials is, you need to activate Ellipse Tool ( U ). Then make the 2 circle with the same size, set the position like in the picture below. The left circle is in the Top. And the right circle is in bottom.

The third step of Cool illustrator Tutorials is, You need to choose Edit Menu > Define Pattern. Then input the name, and click on OK button. And the pattern ready to use.

How to use a Polka Dot Pattern

The first step to use the Polka Dot Pattern that we make before is, you need to make the New Document or New Worksheet. The set the Worksheet size, set 1200 x 800 pixels.

Then, you need to choose Layer Menu > New Fill Layer > Pattern.

STEP 3.2

And the setting of Pattern Fill will opened. You can choose the Pattern that you make before. And, don't forget to set the scale. The function of Scale is to set the Pattern size. In here for the Scale, I give 10%, to make the result are denser. 

STEP 3.3

Beside that, you can give the Pattern trough Blending Options.  By choose Layer  > use a right click > choose Blending Options > Choose Pattern Overlay > Pattern, and you can set the Scale too. 

STEP 3.4

After that to make the Pattern more Beautiful, you can set the color, that is in Blending Options. Please try it yourself. I know you are Creative.
