Create a Grass Text Effect in Photoshop for beginners

Hello guys, today I would share about Create a Grass Text Effect in Photoshop. Actually this text effect are so attractive. The text will look like soil excavation in the grass.

And before we are starting to Text editing, you must prepare 2 things, that is ;

• Soil texture, you can download in Soil Pattern 1.0 by Sed rah Stock
• Grass picture, you can find on google, or take the grass photo by yourself

Create a Grass Text Effect in Photoshop for Beginners :

• STEP 1

The first you need to make the New Worksheet or New Document by click Ctrl + N, on your keyboard. Then set the Worksheet size, for the size I am using 1200 x 800 pixels.

Then duplicate the Layer by click Ctrl + J.

The second step of Create a Spectacular Grass Text Effect in Photoshop is, use a right click on Duplicate Layer, then choose Blending Options.

• You need to use Pattern Overlay - the Load Pattern ( your Soil Pattern ) that you have downloaded.
• Give 50, for the scale.

• Then the Layer display will be Soil Pattern
• The next, you need to continue by using right click on this Layer - choose Rasterize Layer Style.

The Next step of  Adobe illustrator Tutorials for Beginners is, you need to input your Grass texture, that is available in photoshop. And put the Layer at the top.

You need to use Text Tool ( T) . And make the text. It's up to you for make the other text. In here I am using DESAIN for the text. With the font type id Segoe UI Black, and the font size is 72 pt. And for the color is White. Once again, you can use the other font type, and font size.

The next step of Adobe illustrator Tutorials for Beginners, you must ensure active on Grass Layer. Then, hold the Ctrl button > then click on Layer Thumbail text.  And will show up the selection line. And the last you need to press Ctrl + Shift + I ( select inverse ).

• Click on Add Layer Mask bottom of Layer Panel.

You need to make sure Text Layer is not visible , by click on Eyes Icon ( visibility).

• Use a right click on Text Layer > Create Work Path. Then will show up the Outline in our text.

In here we will use Work Path in Alphabet shape. To Erode the out shape, so make it look like soil excavation effect by using Erase Tool. 

• Choose Erase Tool 
• Go to Windows > Brush.

Then follow our Brush setting :

1. Brush Tip Shape : choose Chalk 23 pixels, set the spacing 25 %, size 23 pixels
2. Shape Dynamics : size Jitter 100%, Angle Jitter 100%, Control Direction 
3. Then, exit the Tab , don't worry the important is the setting is finish.

Step 6.1

• The next step of illustrator tutorials 2018 is, ensure the Foreground color is Black > choose Pick Tool > ensure work in Grass layer mask. 
• Use a right click on Worksheet > Stroke Path > Eraser Tool > OK. Then the outside alphabet will will look like naturally eroded.
• Press Enter button to eliminate Path.

Hold Ctrl button then click on Grass Layer mask. Ctrl + Shift + I

Then click on Soil Layer , and press CTRL + J, then selection Line will duplicate to New Layer.

• Use a right click on this Layer > Blending Options. 
• Use the Inner Shadows and Drop Shadows as the setting in the picture below.

• STEP 8

The last step of illustrator tutorials 2018 is, go to the Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Gradient Map. Use a color like in the picture below , give the Overlay on the Blend Mode with Opacity : 10%.

And, you can add more object , in here I add the Butterfly to make my Text Effect looks more attractive. If you want to add other object, just add a picture with .png format.
