Make Bokeh Effect Photo with Adobe Photoshop easily

Before I starting to explain How to make Bokeh Effect in photoshop, the first we are must know about bokeh.

So what is bokeh ?, bokeh comes from Japanese Word that is boke . Boke it's meant fog or blur. Then in 1997 , bokeh ( English spelling ) popularized in photo magazine techniques.

And What is Bokeh Technique in photography is blur quality is produced in the out-of-focus part of the image that is produced by lens . Or, can be defined as the way the lens makes out-of focus point of light. Ok, enough for knowledge about bokeh effect.

And now , so we don't need expensive camera to get a picture with bokeh effect. We are just need Adobe Photoshop Software a bokeh effect editor, and a picture or your photo.

Ok, I will star to explain How to make Bokeh Effect in photoshop. For more details, look at the picture below which is the result of Bokeh editing use a Photoshop. Please follow the turial step by step.

How to make a Bokeh Effect Photo with Photoshop :

1. The first import your photo ( image that will be used as the background bokeh effect ) to the Photoshop.  Then add Gaussian blur effect by clickyng FILTER menu > BLUR > GAUSSIAN BLUR EFFECT. And adjust BLUR value as you want.

2. Activate BRUSH TOOL ( B ), then click F5. Choose Brush 60 then SET BRUSH SPACING to 95%

3. Click on SHAPE DYNAMICS and SCATTERING, then set the setting like in the picture below. The setting is not absulutely must be like this, but you can set as you want. This is just an example.

4. Click on COLOR DYNAMICS and OTHER DYNAMICS, if you want colorful bokeh, set it like in the picture below.

5. Setting the Brush is done. Now, we will start to make Bokeh Effect. Make a New Layer first, by clickyng NEW LAYER with SET BLENDING COLOR DODGE . Then, swipe the brush on the place as you want.

6. Make a new Layer with SET BLENDING SCREEN, then click [  on keyboard to minimize the brush diameters, and swipe the brush where you want. And now, you can look the result. In this step bokeh effect has been seen. In the next you can developing this effect according your creativity.
